New Dharma Mittra Yoga Classes
Yoga is of the utmost importance in this fast paced, stressful world of today. Using the principles of the great Saints and Sages, you will begin a journey that will help transcend the aging process, relieve stress and tension, and bring vigor and vitality back to your body. Yoga means union, it sees for the union of the individual with the divine by means of proper exercise, breathing, posture, diet, relaxation and meditation. Yoga is beneficial for people of all ages, backgrounds and shapes.
Principles of Dharma Mittra Yoga: Dharma’s teachings are based on his 50 years of practice, self-introspection and reflection. His physical practice is called Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa and reintegrates the continuous flow of prana through the spinal column thereby emanating energy throughout the physical, metabolic, intuitive, and bliss body. It promotes harmony within all the layers, so an integrated state of health is achieved. The postures or asanas are non-strenuous exercises that are designed to twist, stretch, bend and manipulate the body. They strengthen and tone the muscles, glands and internal organs. Weight problems and disease are gradually brought to an end. The postures are performed with slow, graceful movements, so fantastic feelings of inner calm and self-control are immediately felt. With constant practice, health and stamina are attained and self-realization can easily follow.
Breathing or Pranayama are simple techniques whose miracles generate positive feelings, calm the mind, heal, charge, cleanse and vitalize the nerves, lungs and bloodstream.
Deep Relaxation or Yoga Nidra is the best antidote for toxic impurities in the body. You will practice key techniques to relax the mind and body. Just 15 minutes of deep Yogic Relaxation when done after Asanas corresponds to 2 to 3 hours of sleep.
