INSTRUCTOR PROFILES

KIM JEBLICK (a.k.a. Katherine) is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor with an extensive background in dance. She specializes in fitness for women and uses an integrated workout structure to help clients develop strength and functional fitness. Emphasis is placed on improving posture and muscular balance. She has over 10 years experience in the fitness industry, working for some of the top clubs in NYC, including EQUINOX, PRINTING HOUSE FITNESS, and PLUS 1. Kim is ACE certified and also a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association, which keeps her abreast with the latest fitness research and cutting edge programming. Kim was also a competitor in the Reebok National Aerobic Championship 1991 & 1992. Certified YogaFit® Instructor Level 3 and 500 hour certified instructor of Dharma Mittra Yoga levels 1 through 4.

LAURA O’BRIEN teaches our beginner yoga workshops. She is certified by the Integral Yoga Institute and has been teaching group and private yoga sessions for over 2 years. In addition to practicing yoga for 5 years she has also been running for 8 years and has completed 2 marathons. She is currently head coach for GIRLS ON THE RUN.

LIISA VASKA was trained in Stott Pilates and is certified by the Pilates Institute of America. She teaches our workshops in addition to one on one Pilates sessions. Liisa has a certificate in holistic health counseling from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She is also a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association as an Advanced Pilates Mat Instructor (level II).

Jack Walsh is a nationally certified Qigong and Tai Chi instructor. He graduated from The Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi. There he studied with Roger Jahnke, OMD, internationally respected doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and one of the first to introduce the ancient Chinese healing arts to the west. Jack has also studied other healing modalities such as acupuncture, Chinese herbs and homeopathy, and has taught Qigong and Tai Chi at The Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, N.Y. He has been incorporating exercise, fitness, weightlifting, and nutrition into his life for over 25 years. Jack is very passionate about using Qigong and Tai Chi for self healing, stress mastery, and the positive transformation of one’s health and fitness.
